INSTRUCTIONS:
PROJECT 1// EDUCATIONAL HAPPY MEAL For this assignment, we are supposed to create a happy meal packaging design with an educational message along with its fries packaging. After doing some research on Happy Meal Packaging, I try to search for the topics that suit children.

Figure 1.2 Happy Meal Packaging Die Cut reference, 25th April 2022I decided to choose "Value of Money" as my educational topic. According to financial experts and studies, by the age of seven, most children would already have grasped how money works — this is when they usually start handling their daily allowance at primary school. In addition, their attitudes towards money should also be formed by this age. Educating kids on the value of money from an early age will help them to become savers not spenders. Figure 1.3 Research & Brainstorming, 9th May 2022I also reintroduced characters from television commercials, McDonaldland. The major character is Ronald McDonald, a clown who is the primary mascot of the McDonald's all-American restaurant chain for over 50 years. He has been the "Chief Happiness Officer" of the company since 2003. In television commercials, the clown inhabits a fantasy world called McDonaldland and has adventures with his friends Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie the Early Bird, and more. FEEDBACK:Week 5: Item #1 - The box holder can be improved by having the glued sides to be stronger. The window can consider cut away. Item #2 - The candle box is nice, can use glue or double-sided to glue it.
Week 6: Piggybank idea might not work as the material of the box is thin, not suitable to put coins. May try to think other mays to deliver the information.
Week 9: The first draft layout looks okay but not very exciting, can explore more. The idea of letting the kids colouring looks interesting.
